Lack of training leads to injury

Mr McG of Liverpool worked at a delivery warehouse. He was responsible for moving and storing shipments of fridges, freezers, washing machines and household boilers.

Mr McG injured his back whilst moving a boiler.

His employer had failed to provide adequate training and lifting equipment for heavy items.

Liability was not disputed and Mr McG received £7,000 in compensation.

Claimant Solicitor: Nik Stott of Paul Rooney Partnership.
