Finger Injuries

Finger injuries for which compensation is payable range from the severe leading to amputation to the crush injury or wound from which a full recovery is made within a few months.

The amount of compensation depends on the nature and extent of any ongoing disability and limitation of movement.

Amputation of the index and middle and / or ring fingers - £36,125 to £52,000

Amputation of the thumb - £20,350 to £32,000

Fracture of the index finger - £5,350 to £7,125

Dislocated thumb  - £1,250 to £4,000
