Paying for your case

We know that the fear of paying legal coses puts many people off pursuing genuine claims for compensation so we always provide free initial advice when approached.

We will carefully explain the different ways to fund your claim.

"No Win No Fee"
(Conditional Fee Agreement) Funding

If we decide that your claim has reasonable prospects of success then we may be able to act for you under what is called a "No Win No Fee" or Conditional Fee Agreement.

Under a "No Win No Fee" agreement, we will not charge you for the work which we undertake on your behalf should your claim fail so you will not have to pay costs.

We will recommend that you take our insurance cover so if your claim is unsuccessful, the insurance policy will cover your opponents costs and expenses and it will also cover the expenses that we will incur pursuing your claim.

The premium for the insurance policy is waived by the insurer if your claim is unsuccessful and is recoverable from your opponent if your claim is successful.

Legal Expenses Insurance

If you have the benefit of insurance cover perhaps through a household or motor policy, you may also have legal expenses cover as a part of that policy.

Your legal expenses policy may cover your own legal costs and those of your opponent.

At the outset we will make enquiries to find out whether you do have legal expenses cover and if you do we will then give you advice on the most appropriate method of funding your claim.

Private Paying

This means that you will be personally responsible for all legal costs incurred on your behalf and your opponents costs if court prceedings have been started and your case if unsuccessful.

Trade Union

If you are a member of a Trade Union then you may be entitled to financial assistance from your union to meet the costs of pursuing your claim.

At the outset we will make enquiries to find out whether you are a trade union member.
